This book was well written. My heart breaks for the author, but I'm especially saddened for all those young girls, who love in the Middle East and have a far different end to their story. This book kept me very intrigued. It was very hard to put down. If your a person who cares about human rights then you will enjoy reading this book.

Betrayed A terrifying true story of a young woman dragged back to Iraq by her parents to live under threat of death from the ancient custom of honour killing Richard Shears Latifa Ali Shears 9781741108118 Books Reviews
Thought it was very well written, and shows the absolute horror of middle eastern women that are raised in other
countries and then 'tricked' to go back to their homeland under the guise of a 'vacation, visit to relatives,ect...)
then they 'are dumped' and quickly married off to a life of slavery and drudgery at best. The depression and despair these women go through is heartbreaking when the death sentence they've been given sinks in. My heart breaks for these
women as a Christian when i know how well Jesus Christ views and respects women and men as equals and would
never condone this type of treatment by the men in their lives who should be protecting them, not using them as tools for their own means!
Item as described, would Do business again with seller.
A+A+A+
i just finish with this book in 4 days.
fantastik, and like horrorr.
poor LATIFA, went true hell with his father grand mother and with the family.
for us , unbelievable..
i never ever like this kind of "HUMAN " after this more dont like them.
the women in this country , only for cooking cleaning, and having babys.
and the wortswhen she confessing her male friend she is not a virgin. he spleet on her face talking very dirty.
she was a strong lady. she is a SURVIVOR.
the seller is a best. recommend to everybody. thank you IRENE
I could not put this book down. What an eye opener. Very, very fascinating.
I really cannot add much more to the previous reviews. There are a lot of photos of Latifa and her family in this book. I found it interesting that she was smiling on the most of the photos and there is no a sign of sadness or tragedy on those.
A difficult book to read because of the topic but a book I needed to read right now. I need to know more because of the thinking of the Muslims. I need to know how to talk to them. It is amazing that when they are in the US life can be one way with them and when they return to their country it is completely opposite. So glad she was able to get out of the country.
